How do I pay and when is payment due? Payment is due at completion of service. If you are not home or unavailable, we always send an electronic invoice via email and text, with a 48-hour grace period. We accept cash, check, credit and Venmo. Payments can be made online with a credit card via our secure payment processor.

Do I need to be home while my gutters are being cleaned? No. While it’s helpful to discuss any questions or concerns that may arise in person, we are happy to clean your gutters even if you are away, working etc. We will always touch base with a text and/or phone call should there be any issues or repairs needed.

Is gutter cleaning performed rain or shine? Yes. Excluding excessive snow or lightning, we can still clean your gutters safely, even if it’s raining!

What if my gutters need repair? Can you fix them? Typically, yes. Most repairs can be performed onsite at the time of cleaning for an additional, agreed upon fee.

How do I prepare for my gutter cleaning appointment? On the day of your gutter cleaning, please have at least one working exterior water spigot on and working so that we can rinse your gutters out and check for leaks. We also ask that you close any open windows, move vehicles away from the house, and move any obstacles that prevent ladder access such as toys, patio furniture, etc. For safety reasons, please do not have any other contractors scheduled at the time of service.

Are you licensed and insured? Yes!

How long does a gutter cleaning take? This depends on the size of the home, how much debris is in the gutters, ease of ladder access, etc. Typically, gutter cleaning takes 30-90 minutes.

Do you work on homes with gutter covers/screens? Unless we were the original installer, we typically do NOT. This is due to liability issues such as the potential for gutter, trim, shingles, or other damage during removal. If we send a cleaner to your home/business and there are covers/screens on the gutters, your appointment may be canceled, and a $50 travel fee will be assessed.

Do you clear underground drains? No. Most gutter cleaning companies do not include underground drain cleaning with a gutter cleaning service; however, your cleaner will verify if they are clogged, and if requested, disconnect the downspout from the drain above the ground. This way you can re-direct the water until a drain company can snake out the underground drains. We can recommend a drain cleaning company should your underground drains need clearing.

How do you clean gutters? Our technique is to hand remove most debris and bag it. A leaf blower may be used to blow away any fine debris or any debris in the roof valleys, etc. While we do try to eliminate a mess on the ground during your gutter cleaning, sometimes this is unavoidable, especially if your gutters are full of mud and overfilled with debris. We always do our best to clean up and minimize the mess on each property before we leave. Finally, we will rinse your gutters out for a nice and clean, properly functioning gutter system!

Will my gutter cleaner walk on my roof during the gutter cleaning? Unless otherwise noted, yes, your gutter cleaner may walk on your roof to clean the gutters. However, there are certain situations where they will not walk on the roof: if the roof is too steep, if the roof is slate or cedar shake, or if the roof is covered in moss, or in generally poor condition overall. Keep in mind that cleaning your gutters from the ladder only will double or triple the length of time the crew will be on the job, which will result in an increased cost of service, and can sometimes be even more dangerous than walking on the roof. Be sure to let your gutter cleaner know when scheduling your service, that you do not want them walking on your roof.

Do you install seamless gutters? While we don’t do entire house installations, we can help with smaller install jobs such as sheds, pool houses, home additions, sunrooms etc. We install heavy gauge 5 or 6 inch “k” style seamless gutter (in any color), delivered direct from one of the area’s leading gutter manufacturers, that if properly maintained, will last a lifetime.

Do you provide any other services such as power washing, roofing or roof moss removal? We do not. We focus our efforts entirely on gutter cleaning and repair.

When should I clean my gutters? This is a great question and a very common one! The best answer we can give is the best time to clean your gutters is when they are visibly full of debris and/or your gutters overflow during rainstorms. It is best to proactively clean your gutters out twice per year to prevent any issues.

Why is gutter cleaning important? Blocked gutters can lead to all types of issues. Once they start overflowing, they can cause wood to rot around the home, water may begin to seep into your basement, etc. Keeping your gutters cleaned regularly will save you a lot of money on repairs in the long run.
